SeaShed Meeting 4th July
SeaShed Meeting 4h July 2024
Once more the SeaShed crew met at King's Church, Aberdeen for some good food and lots of banter!
We had 17 out of 22 crew attend - holidays play havoc at this time of year.
As Usual, our hosts set up and provided copious amounts of tea and coffee... We started off with a scone, butter and jam to accompany our cuppa and then the fun began!
It was a special birthday for our Chairman and one of the crew even baked a cake! (Thank you Ken!)

The big question was, "Is he really just 10 years old?"
No doubt you can guess the answer to that!

After the hilarity and everyone had a slice of birthday cake, then Robbie started us off with a story from his past... which led to a succession of stories.
We discussed our outing to Alford Transport Museum on Friday 11th July, organised car sharing and we are all looking forward to this outing...
If you are interested in coming along to one of our meetings, please use our contact page to get in touch for more details.
Later in the Month (30th) we will be volunteering at Camphill School estate. As one crew member stated, "It is good to give back."
It was a good time together and it was good to see these older seafarers having a laugh and enjoying each others' stories, company and good food. We finished of with soup and sandwiches!
Finally, advance notice that the regular meeting scheduled for the 1st of Augist will not be happening as there is a conference at the venue on that date.
