Pétanque - Again!
Yes, once more the Grampian SeaShed members Joined with Stonehaven Men's Shed and Aberdeen Airport retirees for a bit of fun playing Pétanque. Sadly on this occasion, it was in the rain! However, that didn't quash the enthusiasm, banter and fun. This disparate grup of retirees meet for a bit of healthy sportsmanship and lunch afterwards.

Your chairman and 4 others started the day off at the cafe where I enjoyed a bacon and egg roll with a pot of tea... then it was over to the Pétanque court to join in the fun. 17 of us attended and competed for the KILWHANG PETANK SHIELD TROPHY. Various games were played with an eventual winner from Stonehaven Men's Shed and the runner up from the Grampian SeaShed.

Which one is the sailor? Answers on a postcard... 😄
After the games, as tradition dictates, we all headed to No44 Hotel for a "pensioners lunch" and yet more banter!
Billy Hunter was presented with the winners trophy and the day was rounded off by a cuppa to wash everything down!

The next game will be on Wednesday 28th of October,
Meanwhile, the regular meeting of the Grampian SeaShed crew will be on the 6th October at the New Greentrees in Dyce where a warm invite is given to all retired seafarers to join us. Please use the contact form to get in touch and order your food. We look forward to welcoming you!
