An Invite from AMS

On Wednesday the 11th of February, Grampian SeaShed were privileged to be one of the displays at AMS Global's inaugural Partners Day held at the Norwood House Hotel.

We were there to highlight the work of Grampian SeaShed and I was ably helped by two of our members, Michael Moir and Chris Shenk.

I arrived around 0930 tto set up the table with our new pull up banner, flyers and business cards. We do not have the big budget that some companies have for such events, so sorry, no freebies to give out!

However, we were there ready and willing to enthusiastically share what we do and hopefully enlarge the reach of our small group of retired seafarers.

It was a great day... with many conversations and lots of leaflets and business cards given out. I also met a good number of contacts from before I retired and we hope this event will see some new members join our group.

The highlight for me though was catching up with three individuals whom I had conducted their wedding services - and to find out that they are still happily married!

I was very encouraged by the day and it was very successful for us and I am sure for AMS Global. Thanks to Marin, Gary and Neil for their encouragement and to Kerry - the unsung hero!

Oh, and I won a raffle prize as well...😀
